derma-sil

derma-sil gum silicones have been created specifically for the manufacture of custom cosmeses and are easy to sculpt and blend. The large range of shore hardness and controllable curing times makes derma-sil silicones suitable for any type of cosmeses.

The derma-sil range includes 7 base compounds which, when cured, produce tough durable elastomers with nominal Shore A durometers of 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 55 and 70. The soft 5 shore is unique for gum silicones.

Bases may be blended to produce elastomers of intermediate durometer and are cured by the addition of the Catalyst.

Working time is controlled by the addition of the Inhibitor allowing the user to adjust work time to suit each job. Working time can be as short as a few hours or extended to days or even weeks.

Each base is mixed at a 10:1 ratio with the Catalyst, making this an easy to use, robust system.
